Things you need for the class: Yoga Mat, Resistance Bands, Weights (3lb - 10lb), high-density foam roller

EMPOWERMENT EDUCATION = WHOLE PERSON WELLNESS

Therapeutic Yoga based on Anatomy and Physiology of Yoga will provide you with an understanding of structural anatomy and holistic physiology. You will explore fascia, muscles, bones, nerves, organs, glands and the other bodily systems with a holistic view to healing and health. You will learn to employ breathing and yogic practices as both assessment and prescriptive tools for people dealing with pain and movement limitations.

What to Expect?

Focus on Asana (pose) alignment, yogic pranayama (breathing), mudras, bandhas, kriya techniques and more.
Instruction and education based on anatomy / physiology of the asana (pose)
Focus on symptom reduction, functional improvement and emotional relationship with one self
Therapeutic Ashtanga Vinyasa sequencing with breath centered flows designed to strengthen and stretch your body-mind
Cardio Yoga fitness with strength training using various tools such as resistance bands, weights and body weight for an optimal full body workout
Health and Nutrition tips, self-care massage tips and acupressure tips

INTAKE

Gather and complete an intake form about the health and personal history, health concerns and life style practices.

Conduct a full postural assessment to identify any musculoskeletal imbalance.

Upon full evaluation and assessment, goals are set for therapeutic yoga practices based on the needs to support the journey towards health and well-being.
