Global sunset meditation for the Golf of Mexico. June 21st, 2010 from 19.30h. Larvotto Beach, MC

The oil spill in the Gulf is a disaster for the ecosystem and all its life forms. Please come and join us Monday June 21st, from 19.30 at the Larvotto beach, Monaco for a global sunset meditation for the Golf of Mexico sending our blessings, love and healing energies to this area of the world and its endangered eco system. Just bring a blanket and your good intentions. all you need to do to participate is to be still and do your best to go within and focus. I'll guide you through the rest.

Please bring a blanket to sit on and to cover yourself. We will meet at the Larvotto beach, next to the restaurant Rose des Vents. It's entirely up to you how long you want your meditation to be but for those who wants we'll continue until around 20.30 pm. Please spread the words!

MONDAY, JUNE 21st is Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, Winter Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere meaning that it is the longest or shortest day of the year depending which hemisphere you’re in.

Jude's Flapjacks. 10th of December 2009

Recipe No1 - Coconut flapjacks- with flour

Ingredients:
150g wholemeal flour
70g fine rolled oats
125g dry raisins
75g dry ( brown) apricots
50g stemmed ginger
2 table spoons flax seeds
2 table spoons pumpkin seeds
2 table spoons sunflower seeds
1 banana ( cut in to small pieces)
50g dried coconut
1 table spoon coconut oil
175ml of apple juice
2 table spoons of molasses

Instructions:
Mix all ingredients together and bake in grease proof paper for 40 minutes at 160°C.

Recipe N°2 - Apricot flapjaks- without flour

Ingredients:
260g dried ( brown) apricots
400ml fresh orange juice
rated zest of one orange
50 g stemmed ginger
200g oats
3 table spoons of brown or molasses sugar
50g sunflowerseeds

Instructions:
Place the apricots, orange juice and zest in a pan, reduce and simmer for 25-30 minutes. Mix all ingredients together and bake in grease proof paper for 40 minutes at 160°C. Mix in all other ingredients. Put in a tine lined with greaseproof paper and bake in the oven a 180° for 35 minutes.

Charity cookies. 3rd of December 2009

Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups oatmeal
2 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
3/4 cup oil
1 1/2 cups honey
3/4 cup soymilk
1/4 tsp. Salt
3/4 tsp. Nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
add ground nuts and raisins/coconut/cranberries/chocolate

Instructions:
Mix wet ingredients. Mix and sift all dry ingredients (except nuts) into the wet ones. Now add the ground nuts/chocolate/imagination . Shape cookies 2 to 3 inches onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes.

Donation of your old glasses. 28th of November to 8th of December 2009. Larvotto Gym, MC

Since a lot of people in India are suffering from eye diseases which can lead to blindness if not treated, I would like to encourage you to donate your old glasses and bring them to the Larvotto Gym Center (open from 9 am to 9 pm) www.larvottogymcenter.com.
The collection will start next weekend (28 & 29th of November) and last until 8th December 2009.
